Software, Games & Tournaments

We’ve already mentioned that Lock Poker is apart of the Merge Gaming Network, but we haven’t touched on all of the features that come with the software suite. Lock Poker is the only poker room that offers SharkScope advanced stats for everyone that plays on the site free of charge. Below is a quick list of some of the other features that are included with the Lock Poker software that you won’t find in many other poker rooms. You’ll need to download the Lock Poker software before playing, but it’s compatible on both Windows and Mac PC’s, which should mean 99% of you can play in the poker room.

  • Rabbit Hunt – Check out the next community card after hand is over.
  • Run it Twice – You can run the river twice if both all-in players agree.
  • Tag Players – You can opt to tag players as fish or shark based on your experience playing against them.
  • Multi-Tabling – You can easily stack multiple tables to make multi-tabling a breeze.

Lock Poker Games

Lock Poker has a massive selection of poker games that you can start playing today. If you don’t know the rules to a certain poker game, but you want to play it anyways, Lock Poker has a list of the rules to each game on their site. At Lock Poker you can play Texas Holdem, Five Card Draw, Five Card Joker, Five Card Stud, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, Ace-5 Lowball, Deuce-7 Lowball, HORSE, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz and Badugi.

All three limits (no limit, fixed limit and pot limit) are offered by Lock Poker although the table stakes will vary depending on the game and limit you’re playing at. Currently poker games range in stakes from $.02/$.04 to $50/$100 although the higher stake tables aren’t typically busy. Cash game players will find that most of the action is found in the $1/$2 games although you can find regular games with stakes below and slightly above at Lock Poker.

Lock Poker Tournaments

Lock Poker isn’t currently the best poker site for tournament players due to the fact most players are always playing on the ring table games. You won’t find much of a selection of guaranteed prize pool tournaments, but there are daily freerolls and sit and goes running every single day. Cash game players have far better options, but Lock Poker has never claimed to be a great site for tourney players.
